Business Development Manager – Securitas

New York/New Jersey Region  SECURITAS FIELD OPENING, New York City, NY POSITION: Business Development Manager REPORTS TO: Frank Bisogno, Area Vice President SALARY: $50,000-$60,000 plus commission STATUS: Exempt.

DESCRIPTION: Utilizes appropriate marketing and sales methodologies to develop profitable business in security services in an assigned Region or business segment; follows-up regularly with clients to assess satisfaction with services and to identify additional business opportunities; strives to achieve sales goals.

Summary of JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

1. Prospects continuously for new clients through a variety of techniques, including telephone solicitation and cold calling.

2. Maintains current list of all prospects in electronic database as specified by company.

3. Develops pricing and business development strategies in collaboration with and under the direction of Region and/or Area management.

4. Works with company sales and marketing department to focus sales efforts on developed and graded leads and in developing campaigns to maximize sales efforts.

5. Participates in trade associations and trade shows, and assists in other promotional efforts.

6. Analyzes local market to identify market opportunities, prospective companies and associated buyers.

7. Follows-up on referrals and self generated leads to identify buyer influences and any timing issues; monitors prospects’ contract calendars; prepares reports on status of leads and other reports as required.

8. Plans prospect visits with appropriate operations personnel, such as the responsible local management.

9. Makes sales presentations to prospective customers.

10. Solicits orders and processes approved services schedules; strives to achieve sales goals.

11. Meets regularly with new clients to assess level of satisfaction with services and to develop a list of strong referrals.

12. Develops and submits proposals and responses to RFQs and RFPs issued by prospective clients after obtaining pricing and specifications approval from management as appropriate,

among other tasks.Skill in persuasive oral and written communications, including effective executive-level presentation skills.

13. Demonstrated skills in the areas of sales and business development.

14. Demonstrated energy, drive, determination and persistence, even when confronted with rejection.

Loss Prevention/Safety Manager

Position: Loss Prevention/Safety Manager – F/T WholesaleDistributionCenter – Location: Bronx, New York

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities: Loss Prevention & Accident Prevention

Works at the direction of Director of Operations.  Enforces existing loss prevention/safety policies and procedures and creates and enforces new loss prevention/safety  policies and procedures for entire employee population. Collects, analyzes, and processes intelligence information in support of the company in an attempt to reduce theft, accidents and loss in general. Liaisons with employee population, outside vendors, contractors, on site security officers etc. to ensure security and safety goals policies and procedures are understood and being adhered to are being maintained regularly. These policies and procedures include but are not limited to: Wearing of ID cards, using access cards to access the property, cooperating with the security officer, wearing appropriate safety equipment, safe us of company vehicles, equipment, and machinery, non-removal of company property including its most valuable asset produce, secure handling of cash, zero tolerance drug, alcohol, and weapon policy, limited load checking procedures, in-house store policies and procedures, segregation of duties, etc.

Educates the employee population daily to the company’s security/safety policies and procedures in an attempt to grow his/her security vision from 2 eyes to 1,400. Disciplines persons breaking from security/safety rules and retrains. Plays an active role in inventory control by reading daily physical inventory reports and works with the two warehouse managers responsible for investigating inventory shortages to resolve all inventory exceptions. Reviews CCTV camera to look for violations of security/safety policies and procedures. Investigates all reports of loss, prepares an incident report and submits findings to the Director of Operations. Occasionally performs backpack inspection of company employees to look for any type of company property, produce, weapons, drugs, alcohol, etc.Occasionally follows route trucks to ensure company route truck policies and procedures are being followed. Critical Issue: the Loss Prevention/Safety Manager is a new position within the company and responsibilities of the position will grow with time.

Qualifications / Experience: Two year undergraduate degree is required, 3-5 years of security experience as a responsible charge in loss prevention, bi-lingual fluent in English and Spanish,

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, NYS security officer license required, NYS drivers license with good driving skills and good driving record required, flexibility in work schedule required.
